One-on-one tutoring for Algebra I through AP Calculus BC. Sessions are built around your student's actual class, not a generic curriculum.
Most tutoring stops at getting through tonight's homework. I spend the session on the reasoning underneath it, because that is what carries over to problems a student has not seen yet.
Sessions are built around the student's current class and draw on my own textbooks and practice sets, so the problems target the specific gap rather than whatever comes next in the chapter.
Background
Ongoing one-on-one work with secondary students in algebra and calculus, sustained across a full semester with measurable improvement in course grades.
Taught early primary students previously behind in mathematics, covering topics roughly three years ahead of the standard curriculum sequence, including multiplication and division.
Led an engineering club, responsible for planning each session and delivering hands-on technical material to a full classroom.
Pay after each session. Nothing is locked in and you can stop any time.
Weekly sessions or one-off help before a test.
Limits through integrals, paced toward the May exam.
Four two-hour AP Calculus AB or BC sessions reserved in advance.
Cash or PayPal. Happy to work out custom packages for exam-season crunch time.

Sessions run in two-hour blocks. If you are unsure which schedule applies to a given week, select the block that suits you and I will confirm the exact time when I follow up.
Weekend and evening slots fill first during AP season, between March and early May. Reserving a standing weekly time is the most reliable way to hold a spot through the exam period.
Sessions are held in person throughout Los Gatos and the surrounding South Bay, or online over video with a shared whiteboard. Both formats are equally effective. Families often choose in person for regular weekly work and online when help is needed on short notice before a test.
Sessions run two hours. That is enough time to work through a complete unit or a full set of free-response problems, rather than covering only the immediate homework assignment.
Current homework, recent tests and quizzes, and the course syllabus if one is available. Working directly from the materials their teacher uses keeps each session focused on what will actually be assessed.
Yes. BC is covered in full, including series and convergence, parametric and polar calculus, and the additional integration techniques beyond the AB syllabus. BC sessions are billed at the same rate as AB.
Sessions may be rescheduled or cancelled at no charge with 24 hours of notice. Cancellations made the same day are billed at half the session rate.
Payment is due after each session, by cash or PayPal. Students on the monthly package are billed at the start of each month. There are no contracts and no upfront commitment.
Select a two-hour block that works for your student and send a short note about what they are working on. I reply by email or phone, usually within a day, and we can plan the first session from there.
The grid below shows general availability rather than a live calendar. Select a two-hour block, submit the form, and I will confirm the exact time when I follow up.
